Be it within our school, in the streets or at your event, we're here to spread our joy and our boundless energy through our varied music repertoire,
ranging from pop songs to pieces for brass bands.
The Ernestophone in a nutshell
The Ernestophone is Ecole normale superieure's marching band, (re)created in September of 2011, for the joy of all the kids, including the grown-up ones.

A marching band is a skillful blend of crisp trumpet, hefty trombone, the saxophone family (the Baritone i.e. the grandfather, the wacky uncle Ténor, and last but not least, the Alto), dashing clarinet, exuberant piccolo, honourable euphonium, mighty drums, and the famous sousaphone!!
Our rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 20h to 22h in the NIR basement at the ENS.
Whether you're just beginning or fully trained on your instrument, don't hesitate to come and join us!
We would be happy to have you in our ranks!
